For any question, bug report, or feedback, email vika.abr71@gmail.com. We read every message and usually reply within a few business days.

In crisis right now?
Niren is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services. In the US you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Crisis resources are also available inside the app.

Frequently asked questions

Is my journal private?

Yes. Everything you write stays only on your device, in encrypted form. We have no account, no login, and no server that stores your entries - we cannot read them. See our Privacy Policy.

How do the AI suggestions work? Are they safe?

AI suggestions are optional and off by default. They turn on only after you enable them and confirm a consent screen. When you ask for a suggestion inside an exercise, only the text of that one exercise is sent to an AI provider configured for zero data retention - never your name, your device, or the rest of your journal. You can turn it off anytime in Settings → AI thought suggestions.

How do I export my journal?

Open Settings → Export journal. Niren creates a file with your entries that you can save or share to keep your own copy.

How do I delete my data?

Open Settings → Delete all data to permanently remove every entry. Deleting the app from your device also removes the on-device journal.

What does the subscription include, and how do I cancel?

A subscription unlocks unlimited AI thought suggestions and full mood trends. Subscriptions are billed through your App Store account. To manage or cancel, open the App Store app → tap your profile → Subscriptions, then select Niren. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.

I paid before - how do I restore my purchase?

On a new device or after reinstalling, open Settings → Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

Is Niren a replacement for therapy?

No. Niren is a self-help tool, not a medical device, not therapy, and not a substitute for professional care. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional. See our Terms of Use.
